NutraCanna CBD Oil Quality
NutraCanna products are made using hemp grown under a license from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and adhere to the strict farming standards of the USDA.
Made using a chemical-free CO2 extraction process, NutraCanna’s CBD oil blend contains ingredients that are 100% organic ingredients that do not contain any GMOs, gluten, parabens, artificial coloring, or additives.
Lab reports for each NutraCanna product can be easily found on each product page on their website. Based on the reports that were available at the time of our review, NutraCanna’s 1500mg and 3000mg blends had been last analyzed in September 2018 by Pro Verde Labs for cannabinoid potency, and not for purity, heavy metals or residual solvents.
According to the reports, NutraCanna’s 1500mg blend contains approximately 100.7mg of CBD per milliliter (1510.5mg of total CBD in a 15ml bottle), and their 3000mg blend contains approximately 183.57mg of CBD per milliliter (2753.55mg of total CBD in a 15ml bottle).
While NutraCanna’s CBD has been tested for cannabinoid potency, it was not tested for heavy metals and residual solvents. These tests cost more to perform but are important because they allow consumers to confirm the purity of the product.
In addition, the listed lab reports listed analyzed a 1500mg and 3000mg sample, but not the 250mg, 550mg, and 1000mg tinctures which are listed on NutraCanna’s website. NutraCanna’s CBD is still tested, but not at the highest level of scrutiny.
Neither of these points should put the quality of NutraCanna’s CBD into question, as NutraCanna exhibits a clear dedication to quality with the level of ingredients it uses and the choice to use superior Kentucky-grown hemp instead of other options; however, this is an area where they can improve.
