Lion Cura At a Glance
Based on our first glance at Lion Cura’s Adaptogenic Blend CBD, its purple branding and lion logo felt prestigious and welcoming.
While many CBD products will often feature a common brand image, Lion Cura’s focus on adaptogenic blends helped the brand stand out.
After a quick look at the tincture’s liquid, I discovered that it appeared very, very different than other CBD tinctures.
Featuring a thick, almost mold-like consistency, the visual appearance of Lion Cura’s tincture was a bit intimidating. While slightly hesitant, I found myself intrigued by the pleasant blend of natural aromas that secreted from the liquid.
With an open mind, I assured myself that the tincture’s appearance was caused by the many nutrient-rich ingredients contained in its blend.
Let’s find out if I was right…
Lion Cura Quality
According to the company’s website, Lion Cura utilizes specialized low-heat CO2 extraction in order to produce the “cleanest and most bio available” hemp extract. The company then combines the extract with a variety of organic Ayurdevic ingredients to formulate powerful blends that deliver a variety of therapeutic benefits.
In addition to 200mg of CBD, each bottle of Lion Cura’s tincture contains the following ingredients, as listed on their website:
Many of these ingredients are known to deliver a variety of health benefits such as Turmeric, which is a powerful antioxidant, and Ginger, which can alleviate with pain and nausea. A majority of the ingredients listed are organic so that’s good too.
Based on the Certificate of Analysis processed from a third-party, ISO-certified lab (374 Labs), Lion Cura’s tincture had been tested for potency and purity in September 2017, which is quite some time ago.
According to the results shown in the report, Lion Cura’s blend contains 200.3mg of CBD and 132.1mg of THCv per bottle. Please note that THCv is a different cannabinoid than THC; however, THCv is still psychoactive.
Lion Cura Flavor Review
When administered sublingually, the tincture’s flavor was rich and uplifting, with distinct flavors of honey, rosemary, and ginger, and subtle notes of the blend’s various herbs.
From the richness in its flavor alone, you can definitely taste the quality and potency in Lion Cura’s adaptogenic blend.
I will say that the first two or three times I used the tincture, its flavor was a bit overwhelming, but after a few doses, it didn’t bother me at all. I could literally taste the blend’s many benefit-rich ingredients, and I think that’s a good thing.
Lion Cura Price vs Value
Lion Cura’s Adaptogenic Hemp Blend Tincture is available to purchase on the company’s website for $64.95.
When considering only the cannabinoid content found within the tincture (approx. 200mg of CBD and 130mg of THCv), Lion Cura’s tincture is pretty expensive.
But… if you consider the full list of ingredients Lion Cura uses in its blend––which is packed full of premium, benefit-rich ingredients––the price isn’t so bad.
I still wouldn’t consider it “affordable” for everyone, but if one really understands the level of ingredients found within this blend, and values the many benefits it can offer, then the price is well worth it.
Digital Background and Reputation
According to company’s website, Lion Cura is based out of Culver City, California.
On their “Our Story” page, the brand writes, “At Lion Cura, we pride ourselves on offering the cleanest and most bioavailable hemp products on the market.”
Based on the level of ingredients that Lion Cura used in their products, the brand shows clear dedication to this statement, and it looks like customers are responding well to their tincture.
At the time of our review, we found five reviews that were submitted for Lion Cura’s tincture. Not a whole lot of reviews, but all the reviews were 5-stars so that’s a good sign (see what previous Lion Cura customers are saying in the image below).
Aside from the brand’s website and Instagram profile, there isn’t much information out there that, likely because Lion Cura is still in its early stages.
We’ll have to see how this plays out in the long run, but so far so good.
Should You Give Lion Cura a Try?
While our overall review had high and low points, overall the experience was good.
Lion Cura has created a unique blend with some of the best ingredients we’ve seen in a CBD tincture, and there aren’t many options out there that can compare.
Priced at $64.95, I wouldn’t say the tincture is necessarily for everyone although anyone could surely benefit from it.
To someone who understands or needs the many medicinal properties offered in this tincture, the price is well worth it. Someone who doesn’t, on the other hand, may not get the most value out of this tincture.
In the end, it all comes down to preferences, but, if you’re looking for a tincture that delivers complete health and wellness, Lion Cura could be a great choice for you.
As I mentioned earlier in this review, the visual appearance of the tincture may seem a little intimidating and, initially, the flavor may seem strong and bitter. Please keep in mind that both are the result of the many benefit-rich extracts formulated within the blend. To me it’s a slight discomfort compared to the many nutrients and medicinal properties that this tincture delivers. Again, it all comes down to preferences.
