Big Sky Botanicals CBD Softcheews

The world of CBD can seem like an intimidating one, especially with all of the products available in stores and online. And with a great big world of CBD, you’ve got to have a great big sky…specifically Big Sky Botanicals! Big Sky Botanicals offers four different types of CBD products: oil-based tinctures, water-soluble tinctures, oil-based balm, and water-soluble softgels. Today we’ll be reviewing the CBD softgels. Let’s take a look at these capsules and see what Big Sky Botanicals has to offer

Quality

Each capsule has 10mg of CBD per capsule, and there’s 30 capsules per bottle. The recommended dose varies per person, but it’s a good idea to start out with one and work your way up slowly from there. Since the tinctures are water-based, the capsules are easily dissolved and absorbed by your body.

I loved that the company’s website had a wealth of information on it. From the charter club, the affiliate program, and the blog, the site had a lot to offer the customer. I browsed around a few pages on the site and was surprised to see just how much knowledge the site offered about CBD.

The product’s review score on their website is 5 stars based on only 6 reviews. The company’s Facebook fared no better, as there aren’t any reviews listed on their page. Perhaps if the company were to offer some sort of incentive, more reviews would show up on both the company website and the Facebook page.

Big Sky Lab Results

Lab tested

One thing that confused me slightly is that it appears testing for their products is done at the same facility as the manufacturing, not an independent third-party.  A disclaimer reads:

The results in our lab tests are performed on the hemp extract for our tinctures and topicals and on the final product for our softgels. All certificates of quality assurance are performed on final products. Additional 3rd party may be included with the source highlighted and are performed on the final product.

If you look hard enough, they do have third-party test results listed for the latest batches of all their products but the CBD Softgels which we reviewed.  I reached out to the company, and they notified me that results for the latest batch of softgels will be posted shortly.

If I had one suggestion, it would be to feature the 3rd-party lab results more prominently, as that is what consumers are generally looking for when seeking out lab results.

Experience

The packaging on this particular product of CBD was elegant and crisp. A white label encircles a darkly stained bottle but leaves a little room to peer to see the remaining capsules. The label also stated that the capsules are nano-emulsified and crafted from organically grown hemp, sourced and manufactured in the USA. The bottle was easy to open, thanks to the perforated plastic packaging. Once opening the bottle, I noted a wad of cotton on top of the capsules that was intended to keep the capsules fresh. Overall, it was a very well-presented product.

The soft-gels are indeed soft but very durable. I squeezed the capsule firmly to see if it would pop. It was only after apply a good deal of pressure that they burst, and the liquid within was clear and quite sticky. This was more of a curiosity rather than a reviewing requirement, but it’s good to note that you should be careful when handling these capsules.

The product was wonderfully simple to use. All you have to do is unscrew the childproof cap, remove the cotton, and shake out a capsule.

I rate the company’s trustworthiness as a 6. The reason for such a low rating is that I really don’t like that the company doesn’t do third party testing, but rather test their own products in their own facility. This can’t possibly build trust because the company is testing its own products. How does the consumer know that the company is being honest? Third-party labs offer unbiased testing, making their lab results much more believable. Also, there aren’t a lot of reviews on either the company’s website or Facebook, which doesn’t build company trust like it should. This doesn’t mean that the company doesn’t produce what it preaches; it would just be reassuring if the lab results were from an unaffiliated lab.

Effects & Benefits

One of the most difficult things to do when it comes to reviewing CBD is to rate the effectiveness of the product. Many people believe that CBD doesn’t really work or is simply mind over matter. Other people claim that CBD has helped them a great deal in terms of dealing with anxiety, depressing, stress, and minor joint pain. I take CBD primarily for stress and calming effects. I also don’t take it in large quantities as I feel I only need a small amount per day to keep my stress at bay. I rate this product as a 7 because it seems to help me relax and manage my time better. CBD may work differently for you, so it’ll take some trial and error before you find the right amount of CBD to help you.

I would recommend this product to a friend because of how simple it is to use. You can simply incorporate it into your daily multivitamin regiment or take one along with your morning coffee. CBD has been reported to help so many people in so many ways. With the growing surge of uncertainty and high stress levels due to the Covid-19 pandemic, CBD may very well be the new way to combat these issues.

Price vs Value

The price of these capsules is listed on the company’s website for $39.95 as a one time purchase. There are several other purchasing options as well, ranging from $69.95-$179.95 (based on the number of capsules in a single bottle as well as the amount of CBD per bottle). I believe the price is quite fair and offers consumers a true bang for their buck, as I’ve seen some capsules listed for nearly $70 as a one time purchase.

Further deals can be attained by participating in their Charter Buyer Club Program. This will allow you to earn lifetime discounts of up to 20%, making Big Sky among the more affordable CBD products on the market!

BIg Sky Website

Company Information

The name of the company is Big Sky Botanicals, which has a soothing and Native American ring to it. Their website is https://bigskybotanicals.com and they offer tinctures and balm in addition to their capsules. The company is located in Whitefish, MT and allows consumers to support U.S. home-based businesses.

Conclusion

My final conclusion about the CBD capsules by Big Sky Botanicals are wonderfully affordable, high quality, and genuine. I would have preferred to have the products third-party tests featured more prominently, but since it’s not an FDA requirement, I appreciate the company does offer lab results. I hope the company is able to get more reviews, as this would encourage other customers to purchase something that they know works. If you’re looking to get into the vast world of CBD but aren’t sure where to start, Big Sky Botanicals is an excellent place to start! Check out all of their products and let us know which ones helped you the most!
