It’s official – Delta 8 THC (D8) is the fastest-growing product in the cannabis industry.
It only took about a year for users to catch onto this federally legal form of THC. Because of the hype, there are many ways to consume D8. It should be no surprise that Delta 8 vapes are popular. In fact, they’re my favorite type of vape!
But with so many vapes on the market, it can be difficult to choose the right one. No worries! I will tell you everything you should look for in a D8 vape and/or cartridge. I will also offer some recommendations.
Delta 8 vapes come in both cartridges and disposable vapes. The one you choose depends on your preference.
I’m currently using the Above Cartridge, and this is the one I recommend the most.
Their products are high-quality and only contain hemp extracts and terpenes. I’m using the Indica strain now, but they have Sativa and Hybrid strains. If you don’t have a vaping device, Above also sells one compatible with the cartridges.
You have two options when buying Delta 8 vapes: cartridges or disposables. One product isn’t better than the other; it’s all based on preference. Here are the differences between the two.
Cartridges are items that contain the Delta 8. You attach the cartridges to a compatible vaping device to use them. Since you’ll only buy a new cartridge instead of a new device, you’ll save more money using cartridges.
Your other option is to use a disposable pen. These are pre-charged vape pens that are ready to use. They already contain the Delta 8, so there is no need to buy a separate cartridge. After you vape the substance, you simply throw out the pen and get a new one.
How to Find the Best Delta 8 Vape
Let’s get right to it! What should you look for in a D8 vape?
Delta 8 vapes include a variety of ingredients for a quality vaping experience. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon to find synthetic ingredients in your vapes. Always check the ingredients before purchasing the vape.
There could be harmful ingredients in your product, especially if the hemp went through solvent extraction. Contact the company to ensure they use safe extraction methods, such as CO2 and distillation.
You’ll also want to be sure the vape contains only Delta 8 THC and not Delta 9. All reliable D8 companies will provide a certificate of analysis (COA) that documents the results from a third-party lab.
More brands are cultivating their own hemp strains for Delta 8. The main types of cannabis strains are Sativa, Indica, and hybrid. Sativa strains cause higher energy, while Indica strains cause relaxation. Hybrid strains are somewhere in the middle, providing a relaxing high without the side effects like couch lock.
It’s beneficial to know what type of strain you prefer when buying Delta 8. If you’re unsure, stick to a hybrid.
You may read online that Delta 8 is clear. This is a myth! Delta 8 naturally has a pinkish hue. Some strains may also look amber or even yellow. My vape is now is a purple-y color, but I’m using the strain Raspberry Kush (my vape is made of hemp extract and terpenes).
I mention the color because some brands bleach their product to give it that colorless look. If a vape you want to try is colorless, be vigilant and read the ingredients and COA. Contact the brand to confirm.
Where Can You Find Delta 8 Vapes
Because of the varying legality, it’s best to buy the vapes directly from the manufacturer. Most reliable Delta 8 companies have a website to purchase the vape. I included links to all of the products I recommend.
If you have CBD stores and legal cannabis dispensaries in your area, you can find Delta 8 products there.
Keep in mind Delta 8 THC is not legal in all states. If this is the case where you live, you won’t purchase Delta 8 products. Most retailers won’t ship D8 products to anywhere that banned Delta 8.
How I Chose These Products
I chose these Delta 8 products by using the previous guidelines and potency, third-party lab testing, and brand reputation.
Above is the Delta 8 sector of the CBD company SunMed. Their Delta 8 products are high-quality, and they source their vape from organically-grown hemp.
They have a variety of Sativa, Hybrid, and Indica strains. I’m using Raspberry Kush now, and it relaxes me right before I go to bed. The strains are optimized by terpenes that give you the sensation you’re looking for.
Their products have excellent reviews. You can buy these cartridges online or at your local My CBD Store.
Keep in mind you need to purchase the battery separately.
The right potency – 1-3 puffs usually does it for me
BudPop has quickly risen to the top in the cannabis world. That’s because of their high-quality products. Their Delta 8 vapes are not only potent, but they’re pure. They’re made with no additives and are only flavored with terpenes.
I chose the strawberry gelato flavor because it’s unique. Not sure how they got this flavor from terpenes, but I would be curious to find out! In addition to strawberry gelato, they also offer a flavor in grape runtz.
Potent – 800mg per cartridge
Generous refund policy
Third-party test results included with all products
Battery sold separately, though are compatible with any 510 battery
I recommended an Indica strain, so I want to recommend one of the most well-known Sativa strains ever – Pineapple Express! Exhale Wellness uses natural terpenes to get that energetic effect. They also have a wide variety of strains available, if Sativas aren’t your thing.
Exhale Wellness quickly rose as one of the most respected brands in the business.
They’ve been featured in several media outlets and review websites for their high-quality products. In addition to D8 vapes, Exhale Wellness also sells gummies and oils. They also sell CBD, Delta 9 THC, and HHC products.
Diamond CBD is a company that sells both CBD and Delta 8 products.
They have a vast selection of Delta 8 vapes, but I chose this disposable vape pen. It’s unique since you don’t need an extra battery (as you do with the cartridges). Even though this is disposable, the pen is entirely rechargeable.
Skywalker OG is an Indica-dominant strain. However, this strain doesn’t induce the sleepy and couchlock effects. Instead, it has an uplifting quality. If you have another preference, Diamond CBD offers a variety of strains in this pen.
With 920mg of Delta 8, this pen really packs a punch!
This product contains no dangerous and synthetic ingredients. They have the COA readily available on the product page.
Hollyweed also offers various Delta 8 strains in their vape cart. I realized I never suggested a hybrid, so I chose Gorilla Glue here. Gorilla Glue is a potent strain that’s relaxing and euphoric, perfect for a wide array of users.
As you can guess, Hollyweed is a California-based company that’s starting to dominate the Delta 8 sphere. Each cartridge contains 900mg of Delta 8, so I wouldn’t recommend these to beginners.
High-quality products – contains no toxins and only organic ingredients
I’m a cheesy Halloween lover at heart, so I had to include this one in here. The terpenes used here are sweet, so you’ll get the same sensation as eating candy on Halloween.
In addition to this disposable pen, CBD Genesis offers a variety of Delta 8 vape and cartridges. As you can tell by their name, they also have a huge range of CBD and other cannabinoid products.
This is a limited edition product

Question: Are These Products Natural or Synthetic?
Answer: I made sure I only recommended natural products for you. Some of these brands may use extraction methods to synthetically take out the cannabinoids from the hemp. But rest assured that these products contain no synthetic or harmful ingredients.
The exception is CBD Genesis because I can’t find their product ingredients on their website. I urge you to contact them and request their ingredient list.
Question: Will Delta 8 THC Get Me High?
Answer: Yes. While Delta 8 is the minor form of THC, it’s still psychoactive. You may read that Delta 8 is less powerful than Delta 9, but that’s a myth.
The ones who may experience less potent effects are regular marijuana users. If you’re new to cannabis or have low tolerance, you will definitely feel an intense high. Keep in mind Delta 8 THC will also show up on a drug test.
Question: This Is My First Time Using Psychoactive Products. What Feeling Can I Expect?
Answer: Let’s put it this way – if you discover you can handle Delta 8, you can handle traditional Delta 9 THC weed. That’s because a D8 high is similar to a D9 high.
The best way I can describe the sensation is cerebral, but your sensation depends on the product you use. Sativas give an energetic high while Indicas give a relaxing high. Hybrids give you a little bit of both.
As with any THC product, taking too much may cause anxiety and paranoia. Be sure to take one puff and wait 10 minutes before taking another one.
Question: Which of These Products Are the Strongest?
Answer: It’s hard to say. Technically, the Diamond CBD Skywalker OG Disposable Pen is stronger thanks to the 920mg D8 content. However, the 3Chi pen also has live resin.
Question: Does Delta 8 THC Have Side Effects?
Answer: Yes. But fortunately, they’re mild. The main side effect I experience is dry mouth, which goes away if you drink water. I always have a glass of water near me when I vape.
As long as you use a good quality product that doesn’t contain harmful substances, you should have an enjoyable experience using Delta 8.
Question: Is Vaping Safe?
Answer: While I made sure these products contain no harmful ingredients (except the CBD Genesis vape), understand that you’re still putting substances in your lungs. Therefore, vaping does come with consequences.
Answer: Vapes aren’t food-grade items, so you don’t have to be vigilant about proper storage. But there are still best practices to consider. Keep it out of areas where it’s exposed to heat and direct sunshine. This will cause the vape quality to degrade.
The best course of action is to keep them inside. Store them in a drawer or even a cabinet. Don’t keep your vape in your purse or pocket if it’s exposed to prolonged outside air and heat.
More people are enjoying Delta 8 THC vapes. To find the best one, be sure you know which strain you want.
Look for natural ingredients. Ensure there are no toxic ingredients and solvent traces in your product. If you’re unsure where to start looking, use my product recommendations as a guide!
